Visiting forests of Kelardasht in autumn

Autumn could seem bleak for some summer lovers, but apparently, no one disagrees that fall foliage turns nature into perfect scenery.   

Iran’s forests of Kelardasht are a perfect choice to see the transition of leaves’ colors from green to red, orange, and yellow.

The forests of Kelardasht sprawls across an area of 40,000 hectares.

They are considered within the Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests, which cover an area of nearly two million hectares and extend from the northern province of Gilan to Golidagh in Golestan Province in the country’s northeast.

The Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests are home to more than 80 shrub and tree species.
